PNC Booking Assignment

Reflection: For this assignment in the Sport and Entertainment Venue Management - Operations and Services class, we were given a booking conflict scenario that we had to resolve. The scenario asked us to come up with a strategy to get Carolina Hurricanes and NC State Men’s Basketball to clear holds they had on Saturday March 2rd, 2019 at PNC Arena, so Justin Timberlake could have a show that evening, one that would sell out and bring in major revenue for the arena. The justification had to hit all the elements of booking and scheduling reviews in class, all in under 500 words. The assignment was also reviewed by Davin Olsen, booking manager at PNC Arena. Keeping anything I write under 500 words is not easy, so this assignment got me to think strategically on how to nurture relationships while negotiating for the best interest of my organization in a clear and concise manner.
