NCRPA Program Evaluation Plan

Reflection: For this assignment, we were asked to complete a detailed and comprehensive plan for evaluating a PRTS program or facility. The evaluation plans needed to incorporate one of more evaluation types such as; needs assessment, program theory, process evaluation, outcomes/impact assessment, and/or efficiency assessment. I chose to conduct an Evaluability & Needs Assessment for NCRPA’s Education Programming. This assignment allowed me to identify a problem that required evaluation, outline and define the scope and structure of the program, develop questions for evaluating the problem, outline data gathering techniques, identity data gathering instruments, gauge the reliability and validity of the assessment, and discuss resources and barriers to administering the evaluation. This assignment was very timely as NCRPA was in the process of developing an annual program evaluation survey. I was able to apply the principles and strategies learned in this class to the survey and its evaluation. This was helpful for NCRPA, by using the appropriate methods for evaluation of the programs I am running, I was able to build engagement and attendance at a variety of NCRPA programs.
